Eastern Shore Artist & Friends Monthly Meet-up

Join us to hear an Eastern Shore artist discuss their work, inspiration, and approach. This is an opportunity for artists to gather to share with one another, and for others to learn more about the artists in our community.

This month: Minaz Jantz, a resident of Seaforth, committed to her life as an artist in the 1990s after living around the globe. She studied life drawing, painting and pastel with Vancouver Art Academy and, for 25 years, soft pastel has been her favourite medium. She recently ventured into video art.

The Rusty Goat Skull Garden (pictured) is soft pastel on paper. Minaz found the driftwood, shells, & rusty metal washed up on the beach and the goat skull while on a hike. Each item became part of an artistic display in her garden and, later, became a painting.
