BASIC FIRST AID (EMERGENCY FIRST AID)
The Basic First Aid course meets the requirements of the Nova Scotia Department of Labour and Advanced Education and CSA Standards. Basic First Aid: Includes CPR-A/AED certification (Adult CPR). Basic First Aid is for people who require awareness, knowledge, and skills of first aid. Skills include: emergency treatment of injuries and illness, victim assessment, CPR, choking, allergies, managing severe bleeding, heart attack, and stroke. Mental health emergencies are now part of the course.

Length of the Course
The Basic First Aid course is 6.5 hours long, not including breaks.
