About the event

THE SHORTEST STRAW

Shot in Kansas on locations around Wichita and Winfield. Restoration 2022, this cut is the final edited version. In WWII, a man and a woman, two members of the French Underground, wait for members of the Nazi high command to cross a rural bridge. Having drawn “the shortest straw,” they will blow the bridge up during the crossing. As they wait, they discuss and argue the merits of their mission, and what they hope to do if they survive it.
