This summer, we’re inviting bold, compassionate employers to show up for our unhoused neighbors—not with pity, but with something powerful: a chance.
We’re hosting monthly outreach events to support individuals transitioning from the streets into shelter and stability. But let’s be honest—housing alone isn’t enough. People need more than a roof; they need opportunity. They need dignity. They need employers who see potential instead of polish.
Many of the folks we’re walking alongside don’t have what most of us take for granted:
• A shower
• Clean clothes
• A working phone
• A ride after bus service ends
• An alarm clock
But what they do have? Grit. Resilience. Hustle. A deep desire to rebuild.
They’re not lazy. They’re surviving. And they’re ready to thrive—with the right door open.
We don’t yet have a full system of employment prep services in our community. That’s why employers like you are so critical.
