Discover Your Future at FEAST
Future Experiences in Agriculture, Science and Technology (FEAST) is a dynamic 4-day residential program designed to ignite your passion for a career in the agriculture, animal, plant and food industries.
Held annually in June/July at UQ Gatton, FEAST is open to high school students in Years 10, 11 and 12 who are curious about the world of science and want to explore future study and career pathways.
At FEAST, you’ll get the chance to:
- Immerse yourself in university life and connect with like-minded students from across Australia.
- Dive into hands-on workshops and interactive sessions that showcase the diverse world of science.
- Meet inspiring UQ students, expert staff, and industry professionals working on real-world challenges.
- Stay on campus in UQ’s Halls of Residence and enjoy a jam-packed schedule of social and recreational activities.
- Explore UQ’s science degrees and discover where a future in science could take you.
- Learn about the global challenges scientists are tackling today – from climate change and food security to biosecurity and wildlife conservation.

💰 Program Cost
The total cost for the 2025 FEAST experience is $500 (including GST) – great value for an unforgettable, all-inclusive program.
Your fee covers:
- Three nights’ accommodation in UQ’s Halls of Residence (linen and bedding included)
- All meals from Sunday evening through to Wednesday lunch – we’ve got you covered
- Full access to all workshops, tours, and activities throughout the program
Please note: Participants are responsible for arranging their own travel to and from the UQ Gatton campus.
🎓 Financial assistance is available
We’re committed to making FEAST accessible for everyone. Fee waivers and travel bursaries are available for students who may not be able to attend due to financial circumstances – so don’t let cost be a barrier.
Spaces are limited – and due to strong demand, students can only attend once.
