Free Creatures is a dynamic power trio from the Pacific Northwest that seamlessly blends alt hip hop, psych rock, indie, and EDM into a vibrant, genre-bending experience they call “Umami Music.” Known for bangin’ beats, harmonic hooks, mind-bending solos, and conscious lyrics, their shows are an irresistible invitation to dance, reflect, and feel good.
At the helm is Oregon-born emcee and producer Marv Ellis, who crafts and remixes original beats live on his MPC while delivering a rhythmic feast of poetic lyricism and charismatic freestyles. Joining him is the soulful and swaggering Emily Turner, whose siren-like vocals, upright bass grooves, and surprise trumpet bursts create a mesmerizing blend of power and grace. On guitar is the left-handed sonic wizard Skyler Squglio, whose upside-down technique and melodic mastery conjure riffs that soar with intentional soul and psychedelic flair.
Since their inception in 2019, Free Creatures have charted a steady, independent rise through pure talent and word-of-mouth momentum. Their 2024 tour kicked off as direct support for Dirtwire across eight major cities, and they continue to electrify stages nationwide with immersive performances full of improvisation, emotional resonance, and joy.

Lava Flow Live is Lava Hot Springs newest outdoor summer concert series. Experience the second season of amazing live music at our family-friendly concerts scheduled every Saturday from May 24th to October 4th!
Tickets are $15 & include one free beer, canned mixed drink, canned wine, or soda. Season passes to all concerts are also available.
