La chanteuse cubaine établie en Suisse Doris Lavin a été saluée par le grand musicien cubain Lázaro Herrera comme l’une des Soneras les plus intemporelles de la salsa. Après s’être imposée comme une chanteuse très demandée à Cuba, Lavin s’est installée en Italie en 1996, puis en Suisse. Elle s’est produite avec Guillermo Rubalcaba, Félix Valoy, Patato Valdés et le Conjunto Folklorico Naciónal De Cuba
