Healing The Roots

Happy Hoodoo Heritage Month! Welcome to Healing The Roots: An All White Hoodoo affair. *PLEASE READ ENTIRE TEXT TO PREPARE FOR THE EVENT*

You are cordially invited to attend our first Hoodoo heritage community workshop and gathering. This event had been orchestrated to honor and learn more about ancestral traditions from African and Indigenous cultures, specifically surround spirituality and its historic presence in the melanated American family.

During our time together we will hear from community members who have insight to share on their favorite elements of Hoodoo and conjure. We will be covering topics such as:

• Ancestor veneration
• History of Hoodoo and Conjure
• Ring shout/ Song and Dance
• Rootwork/Herbalism
• Spiritual gifts
• Types of workings
• And much more!

A light meal will be served.

Notes to Consider:

✨Please wear all white OR light breathable clothing.

✨A light and nutritious meal will be served

✨All attendees are welcome and highly encouraged to bring an altar offering for their specific ancestors and/or deities (candy, coins, feathers, flowers, fruits, cigars, liquor, etc.)

✨Hoodoo is a community affair, so everyone will get an opportunity to participate. Please bring a song, poem, art, idea, affirmations or any gift you can share with the community.
