� Wildlife Unplugged: Polly Waffle – Let’s Squawk About All Things Parrots!

Join experienced wildlife rehabilitator, Jess O’Connor for an engaging and practical session all about the rehabilitation of Tasmania’s wild parrots.

Whether you’re new to caring for parrots or looking to refresh your knowledge, this interactive chat will give you the tools and confidence to support injured, orphaned, or displaced birds.

� What we’ll cover:
� Safe capture, handling, and stress reduction
� Common injuries & illnesses in wild parrots
� Feeding & nutrition (rosellas, cockatoos, musk lorikeets)
� Housing, enrichment, & behavioural needs
� Disease awareness & biosecurity
� Preparing birds for release – flight conditioning, foraging, imprinting
� Record keeping & monitoring for better outcomes

� A parrot rehabilitation manual will be provided beforehand.
