Bounce & Beyond with Suzy Nethercott-Watson
Launceston Conference Centre – Conference Room 8
Saturday 25 October 2025
10:30 am – 4:00 pm
$20 per person (includes tea, coffee & light snacks)
Led by the wonderful Suzy Nethercott-Watson, one of Tasmania’s most respected macropod carers, this session offers a deep dive into caring for pademelons and Bennett's wallabies.
With over 27 years’ experience in macropod rehabilitation—particularly with pinkies and early-stage care—Suzy brings a calm, grounded approach that has guided many rehabilitators in building confidence and skill.
Whether you’re expanding your knowledge or refreshing your confidence before taking on smaller joeys, this session is designed to support you every bounce of the way.
Please note: The formal entry pathway to becoming a registered wildlife rehabilitator is to first complete the online training through WIRES:
WIRES Wildlife Training – Tasmania
After finishing the online component, you will then attend a face-to-face session with WNT and complete registration with NRE.
While this Unplugged session is not part of that formal pathway, it can serve as a wonderful introduction — a chance to spark your interest in macropod care and explore whether wildlife rehabilitation is something you’d like to pursue further.
