Travel back to the age of the Saxons with a day full of hands-on history. Train in the Saxon shield wall, unearth hidden treasures in our mini archaeological dig, and follow a riddle trail through the site. Craft clay amulets or coil pots, weave a friendship bracelet using ancient techniques, and write your name in runes. Enjoy Saxon-themed wordsearches and colouring sheets to complete your adventure!

Tudor Time Travellers
Join us for a delightful journey back to the Tudor era. Create your own miniature knot garden, unlock secrets with Tudor codes and riddles, and write scrolls using quill pens and clay seals. Craft a scented Tudor pomander, weave a Tudor rose, and explore fascinating Tudor artefacts. Dress up as a Tudor noble for a fun photo op, and enjoy themed wordsearches and colouring sheets.

Victorians
Step into the world of the Victorians! Try your hand at writing with dip pens and learn popular proverbs of the time. Take part in a traditional Victorian wash day, sew a fragrant lavender bag, and craft a charming peg doll. Stitch a sampler, explore amazing Victorian inventions, and take part in a weapons drill. Finish the day with relaxing colouring and puzzles.
Wednesday 27th August
Home Front
Travel back to the 1940s for a day of wartime fun. Train like the Home Guard and go tank hunting, build and fly your own paper plane, and write evacuee letters using dip pens. Break secret codes, tap out Morse code, and craft cheerful ‘make do and mend’ pom poms. Make your own paper Spitfire, dress up as a British soldier, and enjoy WW2-themed colouring and word games.
