About Kathy Kafka (In her own words): My artistic career has evolved from someone that just loved taking pictures to being involved in different aspects to photography. I have had the opportunity to show and exhibit my photo art as a representation of what I have to offer. I have had several solo exhibits, participated in gallery events, two utility box wraps currently in the City of Oakland Park, and an Artist Profile in GoRiverwalk Magazine August 2016 issue. Photography is my passion and I have turned that experience of photography as art, of both nature and abstract at home and abroad. With Florida and the beautiful east coast on my doorstep there is no shortage of inspiration. I have a concentration on nature and landscapes from all my travels. I have thousands of photos listed on iStock Photo since 2010. In 2016 I started publishing children’s books on Amazon. I currently have 14 books with the last one titled: Birds of Florida. These books are available in both e-book and paperback. My books combine my writing and photography. They are filled with beautiful vivid pictures to keep children engaged. Photos are combined with rhyming phrases introducing young children to different topics and arranged to form a pictorial representation of the subject. I currently live in Broward County. I received my BS from Florida State University and an MBA from Barry University. My goal as an artist is to continue to be creative and allowing new pursuits.

About Michael: Michael Edwards, aka Lingua, is a fine pen-and-ink artist making waves with his unique approach to portraiture. The magic is in the details. Insights to the technique are cold pressed paper and a vibrant array of colored pens. “There’s something about the smooth texture of cold pressed paper that really lets colors pop and brings ideas to life. I can’t live without my trusty set of gel pens, especially in bold shades like magenta and bright yellows”.

Lingua incorporates glitter pens for that extra shine and sparkle — they add a fun, dynamic element that makes every piece stand out. Black pens are crucial for adding shades and depth, creating contrast against the vibrant oranges. I hope you enjoy my art!
