ALL ages and experience levels welcome for calm-abiding sitting (or standing if it's more comfortable for you) and breathing meditation classes for stress reduction, relaxation, and improved physical and mental health! Come right after the Lauderdale-by-the-Sea Farmer's Market at El Prado Park (4500 El Mar Dr) ends!

Please bring sun protection attire, plenty of fluids/electrolytes, and a cushion and/or a blanket or folded beach towel to sit on. Absolutely no intoxicants of any kind allowed (alcohol, illegal drugs, etc.).

Danny Zen's Meditation Summary of Experience:

1983: Was first taught meditation at the age of 5 by father who was a Buddhist and who would later go on to become a fully ordained Chinese Buddhist monk in the Pure Land tradition

2008: Seriously committed to and began practicing daily, formal sitting meditation.

2009: Graduated from Jon Kabat-Zinn’s Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program (institute-for-mindfulness.org/offer/mbsr/what-is-mbsr)

2009: Completed a 30-day, silent meditation retreat taught and led by Venerable Dhammadipa(baus.org/en/activities/chuang-yen-monastery-activities/cym-retreats/one-month-intensive-meditation-retreat/), meditating (sitting, walking, and standing) up to 6 hours/day and up to 3 1/2 hours in full-lotus position without getting up

2009-2011: Completed own 3-year, virtually solitary Theravada, Mahayana, and Tibetan Buddhism study and meditation retreat

2013: Taught self Transcendental Meditation (TM) and began practicing 10 to 20 minutes daily up to 3x/day (tm.org)

2015: taught sitting/single-pointed breathing meditation at Delray Beach's 55 and over community, Four Seasons
