Join us for a challenging and breathtaking full moon night hike to Charleston Peak — one of Nevada’s most iconic summits. Standing at 11,916 feet, it’s the 8th highest mountain in Nevada and offers a 360° panoramic view. On a clear night, you’ll see the glow of Las Vegas to the east and the silhouettes of California's southern ranges to the west — all under the moonlight.
Even during hot summer months, summit temps can be cold and windy, so proper gear is essential.

⚠️ This Hike is NOT for Beginners
This hike is strenuous, long, and requires strong endurance and confidence at high elevation. Please do not sign up if any of the following apply:
You are new to hiking or have not done high elevation hikes
You are afraid of heights
You do not have proper hiking shoes
You plan to bring kids or dogs (both not allowed)
Everyone goes to the waiting list by default and will be confirmed individually.

Trail: Mt. Charleston Peak Loop via North Loop
Distance: ~21 miles round trip
Elevation Gain: ~5,000 ft
Duration: ~12 hours (including breaks/photos)
Drive Time: ~1 hour each way
Weather: Will be confirmed the day before
Views: Las Vegas lights, Southern California ranges, full moon vistas
🎒 What to Bring:
Optional: National Park Pass
~$10 for driver (if carpooling)
Snacks for breakfast + energy bars
Lunch for mid-hike
At least 3 liters of water
Hiking shoes (no sandals or flimsy sneakers)
Hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen
Light jacket or windbreaker
Camera
2 hiking poles/walking sticks
Extra socks
Backpack with space for layers
Headlamp or flashlight (moonlight is not enough for trail visibility)
