Ask a Birder

Ask a Birder at Corn Creek in the Desert National Wildlife Refuge (DNWR) provides you with the chance to talk with a birder from Red Rock Audubon Society and DNWR! The Ask a Birder station will be set up in the breezeway in front of the Visitor Center on Saturday, July 12. From 7:30 - 9:30 A.M., a volunteer and staff member will be available with binoculars and a resource table, ready to chat about birds and their habitats.

The Desert National Wildlife Refuge is the largest wildlife refuge in the lower 48 states and totals a vast 1.6 million acres. It encompasses six mountain ranges, seven distinct life zones, and boasts over 500 plant species and 320 bird species. The Corn Creek area is home to a perennial spring that has flowed for thousands of years, providing lush vegetation and habitat for wildlife.
