About the event

Mothership Expedition / 5 day sea kayaking trips living on a Catamaran
An all inclusive sea kayaking expedition living on a super comfortable catamaran, discovering the most unique and remote places around North Fuerteventura and Lanzarote. The catamaran will be our base for all the amazing sea kayaking trips the area has to offer. Sleeping on the beautiful Lagoon 440 catamaran offering 4 double rooms all of them with ensuite bathroom, with a capacity for 6 clients and Jorge Echavarri as sea kayaking guide, and another room for catamaran crew (2 pax).
Our 5 day paddling day adventure will include an amazing itinerary: Lobos Island, Eastern Lanzarote and Chinijo Archipielago (North Lanzarote) including the beautiful islands of La Graciosa, Montaña Clara, Alegranza and the tiny Roque del Oeste. Both, Lobos Island (North Fuerteventura) and Chinijo Archipielago (North Lanzarote) are protected National Parks. These locations distance is less than one navigation night. We can even explore Northwest Fuerteventura on our last day as well.

Options are unlimited as you can imagine. From beautiful daily circumnavigations around the islands, to one way downwind trips, everything will be possible. Launchings and landings from/to the catamaran will extend our paddling options if swells are hitting the area and landings in some more exposed islands/coastline aren´t an option. If these swells hit the area, sea kayak surfing for those more experienced paddlers will be an option in Lobos Island mainly and some places in La Graciosa island.
Weather during September is usually fantastic with very low wind days. Water temperature is 24 degrees and day temperature is around 25/28 degrees.
We certainly have big options to spot cetaceans during our expedition, including species like Risso´s dolphin, Common dolphin, Rough-toothed dolphin, Atlantic spotted dolphin, Striped dolphin and Bottlenose delphin. Maybe whales.
Will be very difficult not to spot loggerhead turtles as well during our expedition. Some of the birds we will spot are Corey´s shearwater, Eleonora and Barbary falcon, Osprey and Yellow legged seagull.
The price per person is 1950 euros including:
-Airport transfers
-5 night/5 day accommodation on the Lagoon 440 Catamaran
-All meals (Dinner day one to dinner last day). All meals in between.
-Sailing extras ( bed sheets, towels, cleaning, gas, catamaran fuel, etc).
-Crew fees.
-P&H Kayaks, NDK Kayaks, Celtic carbon blades, PFD, Spraydeck.
-Snorkelling masks.
