The Covarrubias-Aprendamos Foundation and the Zamora Family Foundation proudly announce the return of the Latiné in Leadership Awards, a powerful celebration honoring Latina and non-binary Latiné individuals making an impact in southern New Mexico. This year's event will be held on October 10, 2025, at 6:00 PM at Rio Grande Winery.
Now in its second year, the Latiné in Leadership Awards shine a spotlight on individuals whose leadership spans across sectors—from the arts to agriculture, business to public service—amplifying the voices that are shaping our communities with corazón, compromiso, and valentía.
Nominations are officially open and will be accepted until September 1, 2025. Community members are encouraged to nominate Latiné women or non-binary individuals who exemplify professional excellence, cultural pride, and a deep dedication to service in one of the 11 award categories.
✨ New this year: Young Latiné Leader Award — honoring a middle or high school student already shaping a brighter future through culture, equity, and leadership.

Eligibility is limited to individuals residing in Doña Ana, Sierra, Luna, or Grant counties. Nominations must include a narrative about the nominee’s contributions and a headshot.
The awards ceremony will also serve as a fundraiser supporting Latiné in Leadership programming.
