Welcome to October! We missed you all last month, but some unfortunate and unforeseen events prevented us from opening up the clubhouse. We are excited for the nicer weather, and to get back on track with another Open House on Saturday, October 25th! We will be open from 10 am to 2 pm at our clubhouse, located at 12355 62nd St N, Suite A, in Largo, FL!!
Come on down and see both the HO and N Scale layouts in operation, meet with some of our members, and come see what's been going on down at the clubhouse!
We have a VERY exciting clinic to offer you this month!. Renown author, researcher, and rail passenger advocate Jim Langston will be presenting a clinic on Penn Central Passenger Varnish. Covering the "Broadway Limited" and Trains “61-27/62-28, 14/17, 428/427” (The Ghosts of the New York Central's Water Level route). As well as an extensive photo history of the Broadway’s last months, and the nameless trains that replaced the "20th Century Limited", "New England States", and others. Handouts on assigned cars, the last timetable consists, paint schemes and HO scale models. Seminars will be at 11 am and 1 pm.
(Occupancy for clinics limited to a maximum of 20 persons, first come, first serve)
There will be no charge to attend these events, but donations are very much appreciated to help keep them going full time! This will be our last special Open House for 2025! Look for information on our special Bone Valley clinics during our Train Show in December!
