QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) is an evidence-based suicide prevention training designed to help individuals recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and know how to respond. Often referred to as the "CPR for mental health," QPR empowers participants to intervene and potentially save a life.
Who Should Attend? Gatekeepers are people in a position to identify someone at risk and refer them to appropriate help. This includes parents, friends, teachers, coaches, caseworkers, first responders, and many others.
What You’ll Learn:
- How to Question someone about suicidal thoughts
- How to Persuade them to seek help
- How to Refer them to appropriate support services
- Warning signs and common causes of suicidal behavior
- How to get help for yourself or someone in crisis
All participants will receive a QPR E-Booklet and Resource Guide upon completion.
