What’s better than one great band? TWO GREAT BANDS! Fox Pointe Friday Night Lights series is back, better than ever, and this year, IT’S FREE!

Doug Horne & the Rhythm Makers: 6 p.m.

Step back in time to the golden era of music with Doug Horne and the Rhythm Makers Orchestra! This band is passionate about reviving the timeless classics from the 1920s, 1930s, and 1940s. With their authentic sound and nostalgic charm, they will transport Fox Pointe audiences to an era of elegance, swing, and infectious rhythms.

Unity of Fungk Show Band: 8 p.m.

Bassist Lou Terry is the Funkmaster, and music director, directing the nine-piece band non-stop. These top-notch musicians have performed with such great artists as James Brown, the Chi-Lites, Prince’s NPG, Slave, B.B. King, and George Clinton’s Parliament/Funkadelic, just to name a few. This band is guaranteed to get you in the mood to groove. Get ready to dance the night away, and party like a rock star when Unity of Fungk gets down and dirty on stage.
