Dream, Girl Author Event

Meet local author, Holly Mayes, for a reading from her memoir, Dream, Girl. Mayes journeys from the dispiriting constraints of her childhood into another confining world. Enamored at first by exotic dancing, the confidence she finds on the stripper pole eventually turns to hopelessness. The strength that she used to navigate the stage at the Dreamgirls club becomes her lifeline to a better future.
