"Prostonebets" and Chaberton Winery Estate invite you to a special evening!
Under the open sky, surrounded by vineyards and accompanied by a glass of fine wine, we invite you to discover the rich flavors of traditional Poltava cuisine, inspired by the verses of Ivan Kotliarevsky’s “Aeneid” — a Ukrainian literary masterpiece that is both a burlesque epic and a culinary chronicle of the 18th century.
The evening will feature:
• an exquisite Poltava-style menu inspired by the “Aeneid”,
• a tasting of seasonal wines from Chaberton Winery,
• a cultural talk about the legendary Kotliarevsky, his “epic feast,” and how food became part of Ukraine’s literary heritage.
This event also carries a charitable mission: all proceeds will be donated to the Rii Vancouver initiative to help purchase FPV drones for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
