Join us for a 2-hour guided walk through the breathtaking Mendip Hills National Landscape. Each session is led by Nathan Orr, ecologist for the Mendip Hills National Landscape, and takes you deep into the 250-acre Mendip Activity Centre site – home to ancient woodland, wildflower meadows, historic quarry features, and an abundance of wildlife.
Our next walk is on Monday 25th August 2025, and it's all about Summer Meadows and Shaded Woods! 🌸
These guided walks are always popular and places are limited - early booking is recommended!

18th September - Cheddar Gorge walk, in collaboration with YHA Cheddar and Mendip Hills National Landscape
27th October – Mushroom Meanders (identification only – no foraging)
What to Expect:
A short walk (3-4km) with stops to explore seasonal highlights.
Uneven terrain and steep paths – check our Accessibility info or get in touch to discuss your needs.
A perfect outing for curious minds aged 14+ (or younger children with a keen interest in nature!)
Before or after your walk:
Pop into The Alpine Lounge, our cosy café-bar, for hot drinks, snacks, or a light lunch. You’re also welcome to bring your own refreshments.
