“The Construction of the Erie Canal" - Living History Lecture with Doug & Heidi Kohler

A fun, interactive presentation on building the Erie Canal from Albany to Buffalo!

Doug Kohler is our Erie County Historian and has written numerous articles and papers on the history of our region. He created the “History of Erie County” exhibit on display at the Buffalo History Museum. A retired social studies teacher, Doug now shares his passion for local history through his research, writing, and presentations. His wife Heidi continues to teach music at Clarence Middle School. Prepare to be entertained!
