Instructor: Laura Tanzer
Skill Level: Beginner-Advanced
Please note this is a 4 session class meeting August 6, 13, 20, & 27 from 5-8 pm.
Are you tired of clothes that do not fit properly? Would you like to be able to make your own patterns or ‘adjust’ those store-bought patterns that you own, but you don’t know how? In this four session workshop we will cover basic patternmaking concepts, including measurements, making a simple bodice/torso sloper, seam allowances, curves, and tools of the trade. (For more info about tools of the trade please see my blog
https://www.lauratanzerstudio.com/tools-of-the-trade)
A Sloper is a basic pattern that will fit you exactly. No design ease, bare minimum wearing ease, no design features. It is used as the building block for drafting patterns for styling clothing for yourself (and others, if you make a sloper for each person for whom you intend to make clothes).
