We’re turning ONE and throwing a special edition of Poetry & Expression Open Mic Night to celebrate a full year of raw artistry, vulnerable expression, and powerful community moments. Whether you’ve been with us since the first mic or are brand new to the space—this night is for you. 💖

🎤 This is a BIPOC & LGBTQIA+ curated and led event.All are welcome, and this space intentionally centers and uplifts Black, Indigenous, People of Color and queer voices. Come as you are and share in the magic of a mic that prioritizes truth, joy, resistance, healing, and expression.

🎉 What to Expect:– An open mic space for poetry, storytelling, music, and all forms of self-expression– A warm, welcoming, and affirming environment– Gifts for every performer who signs up to get on the mic– A raffle entry for each performer, with a chance to win a special grand prize from one of our beloved vendors (think: artsy, awesome, and maybe a little mysterious 👀)

✨ About The Karma House:The Karma House is a nonprofit community hub and kava bar rooted in care, connection, and creativity. We offer a sober-friendly, substance-free space (no alcohol or illegal substances) that uplifts art, healing, and culture. We’re proud to host events that center community, expression, and authentic vibes.

🍵 New to kava?Kava is a plant-based, non-alcoholic beverage from the South Pacific, traditionally shared in community spaces to promote calm, relaxation, and connection. Think chill tea with ancient roots and a warm buzz—no hangover, just good energy. Kava will be available at the bar for anyone who wants to try!
