Follower Focus Practice is back, on some Mondays! Here are the details for the June 9th class:
SCHEDULE:
6:45 - 7:00 pm: Check In/Warm Up
7:00 pm: Doors Close (no latecomers)
7:00 - 8:30 pm: Class
SKILL REQUIREMENT:
You should have solid basics: pushes, passes, whips. Those who have completed my Beginner Bootcamp Series and/or taken beginner level classes with other instructors should be fine; if in doubt, send me a PM to discuss! We will be doing lots of solo drills to improve our walking, turning, spinning, timing, rhythms/syncopations, frame, compression, stretch, etc. We need to know how to do these things on our own, before we can do them within the context of a partnership. This is the sometimes boring, nitty gritty practice/drillwork that many of us need to spend time on to improve our quality of movement. I will be sharing all the things I've learned from my coaches, the best in the world, from my travels across the country to train with them.
NOTE:
1) Attendance is limited and advanced payment is required to hold your spot; no walk-ins.
2) You need to be comfortable receiving direct feedback, corrections, adjustments and then trying to apply them in your dance, in a group setting; if not, then I suggest you take private lessons with the instructor of your choice. What happens in FF class stays in FF class! We will learn from each other! We will be positive and supportive of one another and ourselves!
3) I expect you to take these drills home and practice! A lot more on that later ...
4) No excuses!! We will work on reframing our thoughts/words and adjusting our mindset, from being negative-based to being positive-based, being kind to ourselves, not comparing ourselves to others, establishing achievable mini-goals within the big picture, etc.
