A visit from local poet Barbara Ungar

We will be hosting talented local poet Barbara Ungar next Friday. She will be reading excerpts from her published poetry, as well as pieces from her current manuscript. Join us for this reading, as well as a tea and cookies reception and meet and greet immediately to follow in the Adirondack room. We are honored to have her share her work, and hope to see you here!

Barbara Ungar has published six books of poetry, most recently, After Naming the Animals, which confronts the sixth extinction. She will read selections from that and earlier books, along with new poems from her manuscript-in-progress, Waiting for Your Ghost, addressed to her late partner, the poet and environmentalist Stuart Bartow. Professor emerita from The College of St Rose, she lives in Saratoga Springs, but spends her summers in and on Fourth Lake.
