MINNESOTA, COME SELL YOUR RC CARS!
1. What is this event?
This is an opportunity for folks in the Minneapolis / Saint Paul MN area to sell their RC cars directly to Cash4RC, the #1 buyer of used RC cars in the world! We will be available in the parking lot at Dollar Hobbyz ready to buy your RC cars so gather em up and come on out! Sometimes we receive big turnouts at these events so please be prepared to be there for a little bit; we will do our best to help folks in the order that they arrived so that no one is kept waiting too long. Also, wait times tend to be later in the event so keep that in mind when planning. *Please note, this is NOT a public swap meet, no public buy/sell/trade/setup will be happening.*
2. When and where will this take place?
This event will take place from 4pm to 6pm on Friday, September 12th. The location is Dollar Hobbyz at 380 Rivertown Dr #500, Woodbury, MN 55125. Come on out to Dollar Hobbyz and look for the Penske truck in the parking lot, that’s us. Back right up to it or pull right up alongside us to sell in close convenience.
3. What do you buy?
Cash4RC mainly buys groups of RTR (complete) RC cars. This is what we can make the *best* offers on. Groups of 5+ RCs are preferred. We will also take in electronics, tire sets, parts lots, extra bodies etc *if part of a larger lot.* We are not looking to purchase just odds/ends groups at this time. In general, models must have a new retail price of $200 or more in order to be valuable enough to buy for partout resale. Land RC only - No boats/drones/planes please.
4. How much do you offer?
It depends on the item's value, condition, upgrades etc. We are generally able to match the going Facebook Marketplace prices for most RC models. We can generally *beat* the prices that cars tend to sell for at swap meets. A general rule of thumb is that used RCs tend to be worth about half their new-in-box retail value if complete and in good condition.
5. Do I need to reach out in advance of this event?
No, you are welcome to just bring your RC cars on out and ask to sell them if you like! However, I do appreciate it when folks reach out to make a deal in advance, that way we can work out a price ahead of time and make a plan for easy dropoff. We can save you a trip too if we're not able to make a deal on something. Plus, it helps me know how much money to bring also.
6. How can I get an offer in advance?
The best way to get an offer for your RC lot in advance is to send a narrated video (or series of videos) showing what all you are looking to sell to the Cash4RC page. Make sure to describe what electronics are in the cars, any upgrades/broken pieces etc, anything that tips the scales of value. A photo gallery/organized list works too, but is more work than taking a narrated video.
7. Will anything be for sale?
No, Cash4RC will not bring any inventory for sale and will not be selling any of the items purchased that day - we stay focused on buying and all items are brought back to our shop for part-out resale.
