This drive begins just off I-94 and Manning Ave N in Lake Elmo, MN winding along the St. Croix Scenic Byway, passing through Afton, Prescott, returning through Wisconsin’s charming river towns while offering sweeping views of the valley and countryside ending at Dancing Dragonfly Winery. The St Croix Scenic Byway is a spectacular road. Since lots of people live near the Twin Cities, we reserved the northern portion of the St Croix Scenic Byway (Highway 95) for your return. This route focuses enjoying the fall colors on tree-lined and out of the way places you likely haven’t driven.
Route Summary

• Start Location: Holiday Gas Station, 215 Manning Ave N, Lake Elmo, MN
• Start Time: Meetup beginning at 9:00 AM | Departure at 9:30 AM
• Marshalling Point: Kwik Trip, 1200 Henry St, Prescott, WI
• Stop: Birkmose Park, 329 Front St, Hudson, WI. Fantastic views of the St. Croix River.
• Stop: Kwik Trip, 726 WI-35, Somerset, WI. A brief comfort break.
• Loop: Interstate State Park, 1275 WI-35, St. Croix Falls, WI. WI DNR is allowing us to drive through the park without a permit. The lead car will get us entrance for the entire group.
• End Location: Dancing Dragonfly Winery 2013 120th Ave, St Croix Falls, WI
• Total Distance: ~87 miles
• Total Drive Time: ~2 hours 30 minutes plus stops
