Attention Trainers (Scout Parents)!
Pack 125 of Celebration invites you to join us at Disney Springs for a Pokémon GO-themed summer activity that checks off several outdoor adventure requirements!
🗓 Date: Saturday, August 30th
🕒 Time: Meet at 2:00 PM
📍 Meeting Spot: Shaded area next to Starbucks in West Disney Springs, near Disney Style and Planet Hollywood (Orange Garage is closest).
🌞 What We’re Doing:
We’ll take a casual hike (up to one mile) through Disney Springs West during Rokidee Community Day in Pokémon GO! Along the way, Scouts will:
● Play Pokémon GO (gyms and lured Pokéstops galore!)
● Try out a Raid Battle or two if they pop up
● Work toward completing outdoor adventure loops and badges
● Socialize and play games with other Scouts and families!
🎁 BONUS: We’ll have about 50 Pokémon GO buttons and promotional Pokémon cards to give away to participating Scouts—free!
📲 What You Need to Know:
No Class A uniforms. Disney Springs allows Pokémon GO meetups but not uniformed groups unless it’s a scheduled event. Class B shirts or fun Pokémon gear are encouraged!
All youth under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Bring:
● Water
● A hat
● A charged phone (and backup battery if you have one!)
Don’t rely on Disney Wi-Fi — the signal crashes with crowds.
Download and open Pokémon GO before you arrive. Make sure your Scout knows how to log in. (Trust us, there’s always one family stuck resetting passwords!) Your account needs to be Level 10 or higher if you want to raid.
💡 Bonus Tip:
Pin a Pokémon plush to your shoulder (yes, with a safety pin). It’s a fun way to spot fellow Scout families, and honestly, it’s adorable.
We’ll be there around 2:30 PM to organize. You can join or leave anytime between 3:00–5:00 PM, just look for the group of people wandering around with Pokémon on their shoulders.
We hope to see you there! If there’s enough interest, we’ll make this a regular thing every few months. Attached below is the route we plan to walk, and some adorable artwork.
