MONDAY/WEDNESDAY: LITERARY WARRIORS, CODING, DOLLARS & SENSE, GLAMOUR GURUS.

TUESDAY/THURSDAY: MATH MARVALS, DREAM TO START UP, HEALING HANDS, (STEM) SCIENCE.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:

Science - STEM

The Science Program is a part of Summer Youth College’s Academic Enrichment. Through hands-on experiments, interactive lessons, and exciting, interactive lessons, as well as demonstrations, students will explore topics in biology, chemistry, physics, and earth science. The program encourages critical thinking, problem-solving, and a deeper understanding of the natural world.

Math Marvels

The Math Marvels Program introduces young learners to key mathematical concepts engagingly and interactively. Through hands-on activities, games, and real-world problem-solving scenarios, students will develop a strong foundation in arithmetic, basic geometry, algebra, and data analysis. The program emphasizes critical thinking, logical reasoning, and confidence in tackling math challenges. Led by experienced instructors, Marvel Marvels fosters a positive attitude toward mathematics while preparing students for future academic success.

Literary Warriors

The Literary Warriors Program is designed to enhance young learners’ literacy skills while fostering a love for reading. Through interactive storytelling, engaging discussions, and fun comprehension activities, students will develop their vocabulary, fluency, and critical thinking abilities. The program introduces a variety of literary genres and encourages creativity through writing and group reading exercises. Led by experienced instructors, this course helps build confidence and a lifelong appreciation for books and storytelling

Healing Hands

This introductory program is designed for young learners interested in the field of nursing and healthcare. Through hands-on activities, interactive demonstrations, and age-appropriate lessons, participants will explore fundamental nursing concepts such as basic first aid, hygiene, patient care, and the importance of empathy in healthcare.

Dollars & Sense - Financial Literacy

The Financial Literacy Program empowers individuals with the knowledge and skills to manage personal finances effectively. Designed for participants of all ages and backgrounds, this program provides practical tools and insights to help make informed financial decisions, build wealth, and achieve long-term financial security.

Glamour Gurus

Glamour Gurus offers young learners an exciting introduction to self-care and professions. Participants will explore basic hairstyling, skincare, and nail care through fun, hands-on activities. They will also learn about hygiene, professionalism, and creativity in the cosmetology/barber industry. Guided by experienced instructors, this program encourages self-expression and builds confidence while providing a foundational understanding of cosmetology skills and career opportunities.
