Teaching Yoga For Healthy Aging
This weekend we will explore all of the tools of Yoga that support our minds, bodies, and spirits as we age. The current buzzword is LONGEVITY. How do we remain healthy and well, honoring our bodies and continuing to do all of the fun activities that bring us, and the participants in our classes, joy?
Let's face it - we all are somewhere in the continuum of aging. Yoga has so many gifts to support you and your yoga students in not only increasing life span but, more importantly, HEALTH-SPAN.
We will take a deeper dive into the evidence-based benefits of Yoga for Strength, Balance, Flexibility, Cardiopulmonary Health, Stress Management and Equanimity.
We will explore each of these topics and their relationship to Longevity. The workshop will have didactic segments followed by practice segments.
Please dress comfortably and bring your yoga mats and props.
