About the Tournament
The Drives for Change: Simmons 3 Memorial Golf Tournament is more than just a round of golf. It’s a chance to make a difference while enjoying a top-tier experience at Oakbourne Country Club. Known as one of Louisiana’s finest courses, Oakbourne provides the perfect backdrop for a meaningful and memorable day.
The tournament will follow a four-man scramble format with a 1:00 PM shotgun start. Golfers will enjoy a day filled with great competition, impactful purpose, and generous perks. Your registration includes free food, free beer and drinks, and refreshments throughout the course, including fresh fruit and sandwiches at multiple holes.
Contests and prizes include a $10,000 hole-in-one, longest drive, closest to the pin, and our custom putting green prize game, where every putt wins something. Other prizes include a golf getaway package (two rounds, hotel stay, and dining credit), gift cards to local restaurants and retailers, free round vouchers to area golf courses, golf accessories, t-shirts, outdoor gear, and trophies for top finishers.
All proceeds support Simmons 3, a nonprofit founded in memory of Lindy, Christopher, and Kamryn Simmons, who were tragically killed by an impaired driver in 2021. Our mission is to prevent future tragedies through powerful school presentations, community outreach, and impaired driving prevention advocacy.
