Whether it’s a bundt cake, fruit cake, jello cake, or sponge - The Petroleum Club and Foodies of Lafayette want to welcome everyone to the first-ever Cake Fête on Sunday, May 18, 2025, from 2-4 pm.

The Cake Fête is a picnic-style celebration that welcomes cake enthusiasts to share in their love of cake.

To participate in the inaugural Cake Fête, your only requirement is to bring a cake (homemade or store bought) to share with a serving knife, seriously, your cake is your entry fee!

We will begin our celebration in the beautiful ballroom at The Petroleum Club, where you’ll check in your cake and receive your wristband and container for samples. We encourage you to mingle with fellow foodies, share sweet stories and enjoy refreshments from the cash bar on the gorgeous lawn adjacent to the ballroom. When your name is called, you’ll be given exclusive access to sample all of the cakes brought.

Cake Fête is a family-friendly event suitable for cake connoisseurs, young and old; however, only those with a wristband will be allowed in the room to gather samples, no exceptions.

We encourage participants to bring a picnic blanket to sit on the lawn while they enjoy nibbling on their samples.

You may also purchase a reserved picnic set-up from The Petroleum Club for $100. This set-up includes a bottle of champagne, a reserved spot on the lawn, and a picnic blanket for you to take home. Contact the Petroleum Club to reserve your lawn spot: (337) 232-2582
