Introduction to Iowa Mushrooms Workshop

The Iowa County Master Gardeners along with Iowa County Conservation will be offering a and Introduction to Iowa Mushrooms workshop on August 16, from 10:00-12:30 p.m. at Lake Iowa. This workshop is perfect for beginners and nature enthusiasts alike! In this hands-on session, you'll learn how to identify common mushrooms found in Iowa, understand their key features and explore the vital role fungi paly in our ecosystems. The workshop includes a guided hike where we'll put our knowledge to use by spotting and discussing mushrooms in their natural habitat.
