Weekend Highlights:
Hockey Tournament (May 9–11)
Get ready for three days of thrilling on-ice action! Starting Friday evening through Sunday, catch six men’s teams, six women’s teams, and a competitive Old Timers Division (40+).
Hosted by the Buffalo Lake Métis Settlement and Inspire Group of Companies, this tournament is sure to bring community spirit and top-tier hockey together in one unforgettable event.
Farmers & Artisan Market – Saturday, May 10 | 10 AM – 5 PM
Support local vendors and discover handmade treasures at the Farmers & Artisan Market, taking place from 10 AM to 5 PM on Saturday, May 10.
Hosted by the Lac La Biche Agricultural Society, this market will feature traditional crafts, Métis art, beadwork, fresh produce, baking, and much more!
Talent Show – Saturday, May 10 | Starts at 1 PM
Show off your skills and enjoy an afternoon of amazing local talent at the Métis Talent Show, kicking off at 1 PM.
Registration begins at 11 AM, so come early if you’d like to sign up to perform — all ages and acts are welcome (singing, dancing, jiggers, musicians).
Proudly hosted by the Kikino Northern Lite Dancers and Métis Nation of Alberta Districts 19 & 20, this show is all about community pride and artistic expression.
Honouring Moms Breakfast – May 10 & 11 | 9 AM – 11 AM
Celebrate the incredible mothers in our lives at the Honouring Moms Breakfast, taking place Saturday and Sunday from 9 AM to 11 AM at the Bold Centre.
Hosted by Tara’s Pizza, this event is the perfect way to start your day with delicious food and warm community connection.
