Irish Meadows Alpaca Farm Open House

Irish Meadows Alpaca Farm will be having a fall open house on September 27 and 28, from 10 am to 5 pm each day. We will have shop specials in the store, a clearance shed, animals to see up close and personal, alpaca walks to participate in, coffee with the alpacas, and music both days. On Saturday we will be having Christine Haas sing and play from 12:30 to 2:30, and on Sunday we will have Johnny Walker sing and play from noon to 3. Delaney's Ice Cream from Cascade will be on site both days. On Saturday we will have the Boar's Next food truck and hopefully 2 others. On Sunday we will have the Rice is Nice Food truck from Dubuque, Moski's BBQ from Cascade, and La Patrona Taco Wuey from Dubuque. Sunday the 28th we will also have Missy's and Family dessert truck from Maquoketa. Please note the alpaca walks and the coffee with alpacas are both a separate event and you will have to sign up ahead of time. I will share those links shortly. Please come and support these great food vendors! Wine tasting and wine sales will also be available hopefully both days (I'm still working out details on that). Fiber lovers, I will have raw fleeces for sale. Additionally on Saturday, September 27 I will have a woman demonstrating spinning with alpaca fiber. Let's hope for a beautiful fall weekend! Please Note: You will have to park along the highway. Please wear walking shoes and be careful of other attendees as you are parking, etc. The farm has asphalt driveways once you get on the farm.
