This training will the last two modules of a four module course. Designed by Reach Hurting Kids Institute, it will be facilitated by the Hope Kids Special Needs Ministry Team at Christ First Church.
Module 3
Kids who have experienced trauma often get in trouble and do poorly at school. But it doesn't have to be that way at church.
Recognize the impact of trauma in the learning environment.
Use teaching time as a unique opportunity for ministry.
Learn teaching strategies that reduce behavior problem, increase engagement, and give struggling kids a chance to succeed.

Module 4
Creating a Life-Changing Small Group
Many children have no safe place to talk about their lives, share their feelings, or receive prayer and encouragement. Your small group can change a child's life by meeting these critical needs.
Distinguish the features and benefits of a life-changing small group. Learn a five-point strategy for learning a life-changing small group. Lead a check-in routine that fosters intimacy, healing, and growth.
Develop a genuine community of faith where kids can grow closer to God and to each other. Come and learn with us!
