Join me for a beginner hike at La Pine State Park! We will meet at the Day Use Area at 9:00 a.m. and continue for about 3.4 miles around the Cougar Loop trail. This hike is considered a beginner hike with approximately 140 feet of elevation gain. We will wander through the woods and along the Deschutes River. We can stop at the infamous Big Tree (thought to be more than 500 years old), which will add about half a mile to the hike.
It should take about 1.25 hours to complete the hike, but it might take a bit longer if we explore a little or if we are enjoying our conversations! I am happy to hang out and enjoy the scenery :)
Leashed dogs are welcome.
