National Hummingbird Day - Native Plant Giveaway

They’re beautiful, they’re fast, and they’re fun to look at but did you know that hummingbirds provide an essential role to our ecology. Hummingbirds may be small but they have a mighty impact as pollinators for a wide range of flowering plants, including many food crops and native wildflowers.

Which is why we’re celebrating them on Saturday, September 6, National Hummingbird Day, at the Krug Activity Center, 101 S. Burleson St.

Join us from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. for a flutter of fun. Learn more about our amazing Native Hummingbirds and take home a FREE 4-inch Native Coral Honeysuckle plant, a vine that hummingbirds love due to its bright, red-orange, tubular flowers rich in nectar, which match the birds' beaks
