Photography Workshop / Sculpt & Shoot
Join local photo media artist Sherry Quiambao for an immersive and creative workshop that brings still life photography to life through the art of assemblage. This two-hour workshop, designed for beginners, will guide participants in creating and photographing ephemeral sculptures using everyday household and pantry items.
Sherry will share insights into her artistic practice, offering a glimpse into her recent projects. Through hands-on activities, participants will learn how to approach objects with curiosity and transform them into compelling still life compositions.
Participants will learn:
Lighting: Techniques to enhance still life photographs using artificial light.
Composition and Assemblage: The art of arranging objects to create visually engaging photographs.
Design Principles: How to incorporate essential elements and principles of design to elevate photography.
By the end of the session, each participant will have created and photographed their own unique photographic sculptures. Participants are encouraged to bring a personal object that holds meaning for them, adding a layer of intimacy and narrative to their work.
This session is for participants aged 16 and over.
