Milky Way Photography Workshop.
This will be held at Hunter Park which is off Fallon Rd, next to the Kuranda Recreation Centre, Where the two soccer goals are. I will be set up in the very middle of the park.
You will be taught by a professionally accredited, award winning landscape photographer, recently moved to Kuranda in 2024.
This workshop is for all. Beginners, enthusiasts, intermediate and seasoned photographers who want to be able to take photos of the Milky Way.
Ideally you will have a camera and or lens that you can put into manual mode. But if not don't worry. I will show you first hand how to do this on my camera so that you have an idea of what camera to buy to make these shots possible.
This is an introduction to shooting the Milky Way. I'll teach you how to
Set you exposure time on a DSLR or Mirrorless Camera
Set the correct Aperture
Set the correct ISO
Set the correct colour temperature for the shot
Show you how to focus correctly to get pinpoint sharp stars
For those that are keen to continue this exciting journey I can show you how to import, edit and finally print your images for display.
The fee for the workshop is $60 for the evening which will most likely roll over the scheduled 3 hrs.
If you have one bring a tripod and camera that can be set to manual settings.
If you are shooting on a mobile phone then bring a full height tripod and ensure your phone can take shots in 'Pro Mode"
Cant wait to meet you all.
There is no set limit on numbers as Hunter Park is huge.
Pay on the evening or PM me to pay directly in advance.
Look at my website for details of my images quality of my work.
I can't wait to meet you all and show you how to shoot for the stars!!!
If the weather is not in our favour on the night it will be rescheduled at the next new moon and any fees paid are of course honoured.
