Mount Trusmadi (2,642m) is Sabah’s second-highest peak in Malaysia after Mount Kinabalu, known for its challenging trails, dense rainforest, and breathtaking summit views.
Today, it has been declared as a Class 1 Forest Reserve with a challenging terrain to conquer. The reward is an unmatched sunrise view with Mount Kinabalu in the background.
Often said to be a tougher challenge than Mount Kinabalu despite being shorter, this hike is not for the faint hearted and attempt by those who are physically fit also for experienced hikers looking for a challenge!
Mount Trusmadi (2,642m) Hike via Apin Apin Trail
Duration: 2 days of climbing
Distance Covering: 4.3 km to Peak
This hike passes through few interesting key points and spot such as the Pagandadan Ranjers and Taman H.S. Martyn at 2400 meters before reaching the peak.

12am- Start climbing
2.30am -Taman Bunga after Tangga Kayangan.
5am-7am Estimated to reach the Trusmadi peak.

9am- Trekking down to Pangadadan Rangers
11am-1.00pm Arrived at Pangadadan Rangers.
2pm-Lunch. Get ready back to KRR.
4pm Arrived at KRR. Depart back to KK city
6pm Arrived at KK City. Check in hotel
