Calling publishers, writers, art & craft creators, activists, creative entrepreneurs & organizers, Made In KL @ Semua House is a celebration of locally made books and crafts, proudly showcasing the creativity and talent of Malaysian makers. This marks the inaugural edition of the event, held in collaboration with the newly revamped Semua House KL as our venue partner.
Taking place over the Merdeka weekend, Aug Sat 30 to Mon Sept 1, the event will bring together 50 booths of book enthusiasts, publishers, authors, arts & crafts vendors, and fans from across the Klang Valley. Over three specially curated days, visitors can look forward to engaging activities, creative showcases, and a vibrant marketplace hosted by both the organizers and participating vendors. We also have event hours for book launches, forums, performances, talks, etc.
The event is organized by the same team behind the long-running and successful KL Alternative Book Fest, held annually since 2008. We are confident that Made In KL will offer valuable opportunities for writers, publishers, readers, visitors, funders, and everyone involved in the local literary and creative scene.

***TIP: If you have been a vendor before, show us new works that you are making. This will give a reason for our regular visitors to come back and check out your stuff!

EVENTS FOR STAGE
We like to fantasise that our art bazaar is a mini arts fest. So from 10am to 8pm on both days, event slots are RM100 per 50min slot or RM150 per 80min.
You can have the stage to launch a product, facilitate a workshop, hold a forum, screen a film, organise a gig, throw a party, anything lah. Email / WhatsApp to

PAYMENT
After we have made the selection, you will be contacted with details for payment method. If you don't pay in 3 days, we will have to offer your spot to those on the waiting list. For events, as long as there are available slots left, we will still consider application.
