KL Zine etc. is a three-day festival aimed at celebrating and promoting zine culture, self-publishing, local history, cultural writing, and the DIY spirit. 🙌
This festival seeks to strengthen the local creative community and foster cultural exchange by providing a platform for local readers and zine makers to showcase, learn and collaborate.🏝
We invite around 30 zine makers and independent publishers from local and other Asia regions including Singapore, Indonesia, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong to participate. We are also curating a series of events, including zine contest, zine exhibition, talks and workshops by inviting practitioners from the field to share their zine experiences. 🖍
🔖 You are a zinester but can’t make it to KL Zine etc. in person? We still want your work to be part of the festival! We’re inviting zine makers and independent publishers who can’t attend physically to send in their zines for exhibition during the festival.

📚 Do you live in a captivating neighborhood with personal stories to share? You can participate in our zine contest by introducing the unique community, environment, culture, and/or history of your area. All entries will be showcased at the KL Zine etc., where the public can cast their votes, winners will get unique prizes!
