This hot spot needs no introduction, not to be confused with the one in Kuala Kangsar Perak. Gunung Bubu which is located in Kampung Bersia , Gerik comes with its incredible sunrise view, cloud carpet formations and mossy carpeted floors. This mountain measuring only 600m is getting incredibly popular now. You will need at least 1 month of advance booking to get a Permit slot.

Despite it being called a Gunung (Mountain), it only measure up to 619M at the peak. Total distance of only 4KM with an elevation gain of 350M makes this suitable for families with Kids.
Do note that participants must be healthy with good fitness level. First time hikers are welcome but must be comfortable with hiking in the dark as we will starting our hike at latest 2am to make it for sunrise.

Itineraries serve only as a general guide and may change due to weather, trail conditions, regulations, safety concerns, or unforeseen circumstances such as accidents, strikes, government directives, or natural disasters. The organizers are not liable for any delays, changes, or cancellations beyond their control.
2. 🏕 Accommodation Conditions (For Multiday Expeditions)
For multi-day hikes or expeditions, accommodation is typically wild camping and may differ significantly from hotels or homestays.
Conditions may include:
No electricity or Wi-Fi
Basic sanitation or natural toilet setups
Uneven campgrounds and simple meals (if provided)
Participants are expected to prepare mentally and physically for these conditions.
3. ⚠ Acknowledgement of Risks & Indemnity
Outdoor activities carry inherent risks including injury, illness, wildlife encounters, trail hazards, natural forces, or unexpected incidents.
By joining, you agree to assume all such risks voluntarily and agree to indemnify the organizers, hosts, and affiliates from any claims, disputes, losses, or liabilities arising from your participation.
4. 👥 Role of Organizers
Our hosts and organizers are community hiking enthusiasts, not licensed travel agents or professional guides. We facilitate hiking experiences out of passion and camaraderie.
For events requiring licensed forest access, registered local guides will be arranged in accordance with forestry and local regulations.
5. 🔍 Participation Eligibility & Safety
For safety and group cohesion, organizers reserve the right to deny or revoke participation for any reason, including if a participant is deemed unsuitable due to health, preparedness, conduct, or any other concern.
6. 💬 Health & Medical Disclosure
Participants must ensure they are physically fit and medically suitable for the activity. If you have any pre-existing conditions or require medication, please inform the organizers in advance. This is to ensure your safety and appropriate response in case of emergencies.
7. 🚫 Cancellation & Refund Policy
No refunds will be issued for participant cancellations due to personal or unforeseen reasons.
Administrative fees and trip payments are non-transferable to future events.
You may find a replacement participant at least 1 month in advance, subject to organizer approval.
Full refunds are only provided if the event is canceled by organizers or if slots/permits are unavailable.
8. ⏰ Punctuality Policy
All participants must arrive at the agreed meeting point on time. Organizers and co-hosts are not required to wait for latecomers, as it impacts the entire group. Please be punctual and respectful of others’ time.
9. 🏞 Personal Responsibility
Each participant is responsible for bringing their own essential gear, water, food, clothing, first aid items, and hiking equipment.
Please follow all safety instructions and respect nature and fellow hikers at all times.
10. 📸 Photography & Media Consent
Photos and videos may be taken during events for documentation and community sharing purposes. If you prefer not to be featured, please inform the organizers beforehand.
11. 📍 Code of Conduct
Respect fellow hikers, local customs, and nature.
No discrimination, harassment, or disruptive behavior will be tolerated. Divas, self entitled and selfish hikers will be automatically banned from future hikes,
