Practical Philosophy Club: Masculinity

On Saturday, May 17 the next meeting of the Practical Philosophy Club will again take place at the Kingdom (Biskupia St. 18/1). This time, we the topic is "Masculinity". The meeting will start at 6:30 p.m., and the discussion will be held in English. Admission, as always, is free.


- How do you understand masculinity? What does it mean to be a man today and who defines it?

- Is masculinity a threat or a virtue?

- Can masculinity be separated from patriarchy in cultural conversations?

- What role does vulnerability play in redefining masculinity? How are men who express emotional openness treated in public life or online spaces?

- Do men face systemic disadvantages in today’s society? Why are issues like male suicide rates, workplace deaths, conscription, and lack of paternal rights so rarely discussed in mainstream discourse?

- What does an ethical masculinity look like in the 21st century? Can men maintain a strong identity without dominance, suppression of emotion, or isolation?

- How should education address masculinity?
