Lucy (Dakota Johnson) is a successful matchmaker from New York. Thanks to her work, she has managed to tie many happy couples. She has very high expectations of men. Despite very high expectations, one day she meets the perfect man who meets all her requirements (Pedro Pascal, The Last of Us series, Gladiator II), but at the same time she begins to question what really constitutes a perfect match when her ex-boyfriend (Chris Evans, Avengers series; Captain America) charms her again.
The Materialists is the latest film by Celine Song (director and screenwriter). Her film Previous Life received two Oscar nominations: including Best Picture and Best Screenplay.

Cinemino Kraków – Expats and Locals Cinema Meetings is an event open to every movie enthusiast who wants to discuss movies in a friendly and open-minded community. This meeting follows the principle that cinema is about different perspectives, and every person can contribute with his/her/them view on the movie.Once every two-three weeks, we will meet in the Kino Pod Baranami for a movie with English subtitles (or an English-speaking movie) and a follow-up get-together to share impressions and create a community of movie enthusiasts.
