WEEKEND CONTACT WORKSHOP IN KRAKOW WITH TOM GOLDHAND
Spiral is one of the key aspects in Contact Improvisation and in movement in general, it can be found in any living being – from our double helix DNA to our patterns, movement’s formation and structural building.
In this workshop we will learn to harness this structure, to better understand it and to build with it a stronger, more fluid way of movement. We will discover new hidden pathways that lay dormant in our body, that once opens will transform our dance into higher levels.
Spirals are one of the strongest movement forms in our body and it allows us to grow from the center outward and from the ground up. Spirals are the way upward from the ground into the sky – so lets Spiral our way to heaven.
This workshop is intended for people with experience in this practice and for advanced or beginners practitioners.��If you have never done Contact Improvisation this is not suitable for you yet.
Tom Goldhand (NL/IL):
I am a performance artist and teacher in the field of Dance & Contact Improvisation.
Over the last 15 years Tom has been teaching regulary in different festivals in Europe and has his own training program in Amsterdam, he is the Co-organizer of the Dutch Contact Festival for the 6th year, and teaches classes and master workshops in Fontys and Artez dance Academies and different dance companies.
All of the above are just words that are saying basically: Contact Improvisation is my passion and I love sharing it with everyone.

Spirala jest jednym z kluczowych aspektów improwizacji kontaktowej i ruchu w ogóle, można ją znaleźć w każdej żywej istocie – od naszej podwójnej helisy DNA, po nasze wzorce, formowanie ruchu i budowanie struktury.
Na tym warsztacie nauczymy się wykorzystywać spiralę tak, by lepiej rozumieć jej mechanizmy i dzięki temu budować silniejszy, bardziej płynny sposób ruchu.
Odkryjemy nowe ukryte ścieżki, które drzemią w naszym ciele, a które po otwarciu przeniosą nasz taniec na wyższe poziomy.
Spirale są jedną z najsilniejszych form ruchu w naszym ciele i pozwalają nam rozwijać się od środka na zewnątrz i od dołu do góry. Spirale to droga w górę od ziemi do nieba – więc pozwólmy Spirali na naszą drogę do nieba.
Ten warsztat jest przeznaczony dla osób z doświadczeniem w tej praktyce oraz dla zaawansowanych lub początkujących praktyków.
Tom jest tancerzem, nauczycielem tańca i animatorem grup, właścicielem i menadżerem Sadhana Dance School.
Tom uczy inprowizacji oraz kontakt improwizacji od ponad 15 lat. Tom współtworzył wraz z pięcioma innymi artystami taneczną grupę „Mono Collective”, która ma siedzibę w Amsterdamie, a także posiada tytuł magistra terapii tanecznej z Uniwersytetu Codarts w Rotterdamie.
W ostatnich latach, oprócz cotygodniowych zajęć, Tom prowadzi warsztaty i wyjazdy w ramach rozwoju osobistego w całej Europie.
